Major events. North America: JCK Las Vegas, JA New York. Europe: Vicenzaoro (Italy), Inhorgenta (Munich). Asia: Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem, Canton Fair. Each skews different — Vegas for volume US, Vicenza for fine, HK for factory-direct.
Prep. Shortlist exhibitors, book meetings, and bring your best-seller data so suppliers can propose fills. Photograph booths with permission.
Follow-up. The show is a starting gun, not a finish line. Request samples within a week; a written supplier checklist tells you what to check on the bench.
If you can’t travel. Many shows now stream catalogs — but you lose the touch-test. Balance virtual with one anchor trip a year.
